Severe kidney disorders are caused by improper usage of steroids

Anabolic steroids are often blamed for different diseases of users. Undoubtedly, these medicines may lead to several unwanted effects. Nevertheless, anabolic steroids are often blamed without any reason. It is reported often by the media that these products lead to different illnesses, crimes, deaths. But it is necessary to understand nature of these products to see when these products should not be blamed.
Let analyze two situations. One of the cases is connected with the former American bodybuilder Flex Wheeler. Another case is related to another former bodybuilder Luke Wood.
The former American bodybuilder Flex Wheeler experienced kidney disorders. This man submitted to a kidney transplant. Since he used anabolic steroids, the media chose to blame these preparations for kidney failure of Flex Wheeler. Actually, Flex Wheeler had a hereditary kidney disease. Of course, usage of anabolic steroids contributed to the complications. But did Flex Wheeler use anabolic steroids appropriately? Did he follow reasonable guidelines linked with dosages and length of usage? No, he didn’t. The bodybuilder applied too high dosages of steroids. Moreover, he administered these medicines long period of time. In addition to these conditions, the former American bodybuilder used also other medicines that had negative influence on his kidneys. Thus, steroids should not be blamed for Flex Wheeler’s disease.
As it has been already noticed, another case is connected with the former bodybuilder Luke Wood. His death followed after a kidney transplant, being a young person. The media also chose to demonize anabolic steroids in this situation. It was affirmed that steroids caused kidney dysfunctions in Luke Wood. But you should be informed that the bodybuilder applied not only steroids. He used also insulin, pain drugs, DNP and other medications that influenced on the kidneys negatively. So, it is impossible to assure that steroids were responsible for his kidney failure and death.
According to numerous experts, if steroids are administered appropriately, serious kidney dysfunctions don’t occur.
