The businessman Mark Mansa from Bethel (Connecticut) was charged with selling anabolic steroids to High School students from the Greater Danbury.
But it wasn’t proven yet whether it is so, as it has been said. A lot of persons doubt that wrestlers of High Schools have purchased and administering prohibited preparations. High School wrestling is a favorite sport in Greater Danbury area. Affection to this sport blinds a lot of individuals wholly. They don’t even suppose that it can be true that wrestlers of High Schools have used steroids, especially anabolic steroids.
Why are anabolic steroids punctuated especially? Anabolic steroids are applied to add muscle size in short period of time quite evidentially. Thus, many persons claim that while High School students of other sports must have utilized steroids, wrestlers are not included in their class. Their statement has been supported by Ricky Shook, a wrestling coach. His team is popular due to winning 10 State Open titles. The trainer confirms that there is no any relation to steroids.
In fact, wrestlers cannot utilize steroids or other related preparations to bulk up because there are strict weight indications which are established and controlled by the CIAC.
The wrestler Matt Saraceno was asked about possibility of applying steroids by persons who are involved in this sport. This person confirmed that there was no any possibility of administering steroids. He mentioned that steroids couldn’t help to store the mass of the body down. He stated that it was impossible.
Thus, this wrestler broke statements of certain individuals about possibility of taking steroids by wrestlers. Since steroids are used for enhancement of muscle size, it would be as a negative result for a wrestler who tries to maintain his body mass in order to meet criteria of certain weight category. Moreover, the rules linked with weight loss are very strict in wrestling. Even insignificant changes in body weight may cause many troubles. Sudden weight adding and adding of muscles will lead to certain problems like sudden loss of body mass.
The CIAC makes it clear that wrestlers must avoid unhealthy loss of body mass. Only established amount of body mass may be lost during a season. The CIAC checks changing in body weight of wrestlers. The, the risks linked with intake of forbidden substances are very enhanced for those who are involved in wrestling.
The coach Shook claims that he doesn’t want to train those who take banned products, alcohol and tobacco. He confirms that he says these words each year during interviews for the New-Times. Thus, the trainer claims that he doesn’t coach any consumer of prohibited preparations. But if he finds such individual in his team, he will inform about this situation.
The wrestling coach Shook concludes that wrestling is healthy in comparison with its position in past time. They have a special program. The wrestlers are subjected to to urine tests and hydration. This is the sport that makes more tests than any other sport that exists in Connecticut.
However the coach has admitted that a wrestler could hide his intake of steroids from him, but it is doubted.
So, wrestling avoids administration of forbidden substances. There is hope that it will continue to follow this way.
