Barry Bonds is ready to support athletes suspected of doping

Barry Bonds knows what an athlete experiences, when he/she is pursued by the government and anti-doping agencies. He understands what this individual feels. That’s why the former professional baseball player can sympathize and support sportspeople accused of doping. So, Barry Bonds supports the former American cyclist Lance Armstrong.
During an interview a journalist asked Barry Bonds about problems of Lance Armstrong connected with doping suspicions. The former baseball player expressed his admiration towards the cyclist. He claimed that Lance Armstrong was the most brilliant cyclist that has ever been in the sport of cycling.
Undoubtedly, Barry Bonds knows what he says. He realizes what it means to be a good cyclist. After he retired from baseball, he became a cyclist. He took part in some competitions successfully. Being a cyclist, he sees that this sport has the same problems like baseball. He sees that cyclists are pursued by federal prosecutors and anti-doping officials like professional baseball players.
Both Lance Armstrong and Barry Bonds were accused of doping. They were investigated by the government and anti-doping officers.
Federal prosecutors accused Barry Bonds of lying about usage of prohibited substances and obstruction of justice. They couldn’t prove that the sportsperson lied about administration of banned medicines. But they claimed that he was guilty of obstructing justice. The former baseball player decided to appeal the decision of the court.
When it comes to Lance Armstrong, the government dropped the case against him. But the USADA continued to prosecute the cyclist. The USADA confirmed that Lance Armstrong had been using banned products throughout his cycling career. The cyclist decided to discontinue fighting against accusations of the anti-doping agency. He lost his Tour de France titles and money he had won at these events.
Although Lance Armstrong has been stripped of his titles, Americans continue to respect him. They claim that he is the most wonderful cyclist of all times. Lance Armstrong’s sponsors continue to support his cancer charity. The seven-time Tour de France winner helps people to fight against cancer. So, many persons are thankful. They will always remember what Lance Armstrong has done for them.
Barry Bonds’ reputation has been destructed by accusations related to application of forbidden substances. The former baseball player hopes that his achievements during the baseball career are more significant than the suspicions. He believes that people will forget about the suspicions and he will be considered to be a baseball star.
